Our treatment philosophy places a great deal of importance on an extended length of time in a structured treatment environment. Sober living on its own tends to leave its residents with a substantial amount of down time that may lead to unproductive thoughts or activities. At Soba, all clients are enrolled in an outpatient program that continues their recovery efforts all the way through their stay. Client participate in our outpatient program during the day at an office location near our sober living community. Many clients stay within our treatment program for up to a year. As a client progresses through their recovery, the structure of his/her living environment and outpatient criteria adjusts to meet their needs. Towards the end of a client’s stay, they will have been taught many daily living skills, working toward long term goals and may even obtain employment while attending a less intense outpatient program and living in the sober living community. The goal of Soba’s extended care is to prepare each individual with the tools to face the roller coaster of life. Soba’s staff works with the belief that if they spend quality time and effort treating a client’s addiction for an extended period once, then that client may not have to visit multiple treatment centers and have multiple relapses before achieving long-term recovery.
